Female-Only Transjakarta Serves Corridor 1

Jakarta Provincial Government launches female-only Transjakarta bus. As the first stage, there were only two buses prepared serving on corridor 1 Blok M - Kota. Another 10 buses to be added up to May.

“There will be 10 buses. But today we only launch 2,” said Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama, Thursday (4/21).

If the bus is added up to 10 armada, then passengers could be served once in 30 minutes. “Pink buses would arrive every 30 minutes. Only if the lane is sterile,” he added.

City to Build Shelter Integrated with Train Station

It is hoped the pink bus will give comfort for female passengers. Drivers and its crew are also female. Later on, similar program will be also launched at other corridors.
